In the 31st minute, Carlos Bacca converted from close range after a chipped cross from just outside the penalty area.

The goal was all Colombia needed, leaving the U.S. empty-handed in its home turf.

The U.S. was the first country to host the tournament outside South America.

The Copa America Centenario, celebrating the hundredth year of the event and diverting from the usual four-year cycle, ends Sunday with the trophy game between Argentina and Chile, a repeat of the finals face-off between the two fierce continental rivals.
