Amazon to use drones for package delivery

World’s biggest internet sellers Amazon says it will ready itself to deliver packages to its customers via unmanned probes by the year 2015. The US retail giant has revealed on its web page its future plans to deliver small packages in about 30 minutes after online purchases with mini-drones if the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gives green light to the idea. Amazon also released a test flight demo video on its website. Authorities say seeing one of the postal drones will be as common as seeing a lorry on the road in the near future. The development is thought to be a negative one for FedEx and UPS, the cargo giants of the country. FedEx’s founder Fred Smith had told in 2009 during an interview that they wanted to use drones for their services if FAA gives permission.
