Turkish jets hit PKK targets in northern Iraq

Ten F-16 and F-4 jets bombed PKK positions in Qandil, where the group has its main headquarters, the sources said, adding that a number of caves and shelters in Zap region were destroyed.

The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against Turkey in July last year.

Since then, more than 350 Turkish security personnel have been martyred and thousands of terrorists killed.
