The exhibit, which will be in front of Geneva’s UN building, behind the monumental "Broken Chair" sculpture, will be on display from Sept. 27 to Sept. 29.

The photos taken by Anadolu Agency photojournalists, who followed the deadly events on the ground, show how the destructive night of July 15 unfolded and its aftermath.

One aim of the exhibit is to honor those who became martyrs and veterans during the illegal attempt to topple Turkish democracy.

The UN and other international organizations have been criticized for their responses to the coup attempt. In a statement issued four days after the foiled coup, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights failed to condemn it, and an Anadolu Agency correspondent had to verbally prompt a UN spokeswoman to do so.
