In remarks at his Justice and Development (AK) Party’s headquarters in the capital Ankara, Yildirim said: “We will always protect our unity and integrity. Turkey is in a big fight. We will not allow terrorism to place Turkey under guardianship.”
Referring to recent terrorist attacks in Germany and Turkey, Yildirim said no country could claim to be free of terror.
Yildirim also spoke about the evacuation of Aleppo civilians in northern Syria, saying over 40,000 had been taken from the war-torn city.
Last week, Syrian opposition forces and the Bashar al-Assad regime reached a cease-fire deal, brokered by Turkey and Russia, to evacuate civilians from eastern Aleppo to safe areas in opposition-held Idlib.
