President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered his condolences to Indonesian counterpart on Monday over the deadly earthquake, according to presidential sources.

“Turkey is ready to provide every possible assistance to Indonesia over earthquake,” Erdogan told Joko Widodo on phone, sources said.

On Friday, a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island, the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter of the quake was 78 kilometers north of Palu at the depth of 10 kilometers.

On Sep.29, Indonesia declared a state of emergency for the island.

Over the last two months, three more earthquakes with magnitudes 6.3, 6.9, and 7 hit the eastern island of Lombok, killing a total of 563 people.
