Arab League urges West to stop military exports to Israel

The Arab League held an extraordinary meeting at the level of representatives to discuss the ongoing assaults on the Gaza Strip.

The Arab League called on the U.S. and EU to halt arms and ammunition exports to Israel and to cease financing the production of unmanned aerial vehicles used by Israel in the massacres against Palestinian civilians.

Calling on all states that do not recognize the State of Palestine to do so immediately to salvage the chance for peace in the region, the Arab League also demanded independent investigations by international justice institutions into the mass graves uncovered at al-Shifa and al-Nasser medical complexes in Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, according to the official Egyptian news agency MENA, the Arab League condemned Israel's aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Also, warning that an assault on the city of Rafah by the Israeli army would signify a new massacre against the Palestinian people, the Arab League urged the United Nations Security Council to once again decide by the provisions of Article 7 of the U.N. Charter.

Israel has killed more than 34,000 civilians, mostly women and children, in its attacks on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7. While the international community has failed to halt the conflicts, Western states continue to sell weapons to Israel, which are used to perpetuate the massacres.
