Arizona files lawsuit over 2020 election interference

A court in Arizona has announced that a lawsuit has been filed against 18 individuals accused of attempting to interfere with the results of the 2020 election.

The indictment includes former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani while former U.S. President Donald Trump is mentioned only as an abettor.

Arizona has become the fourth state to face scrutiny and legal challenges regarding the presidential election results, following Michigan, Georgia, and Nevada.

Lawsuit against Trump in Georgia

In the city of Atlanta, Georgia, following evidence and witness statements presented by solicitors in Fulton County, a new indictment was declared on Aug. 14, 2023, blaming Trump of "attempting to interfere with the 2020 presidential election."

The 98-page indictment contained 41 charges, including "incitement to oathbreaking of a public official, "collusion to commit perjury," and "violation of the state's anti-corruption and anti-extortion laws."
