Turkey and Azerbaijan unite their strengths for the sake of their people and the region, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, which carries Caspian oil to world markets, is "the harvest of this unification and dynamism", said Turkish President Abdullah Gul. Stressing the strong relations between the two countries, Gul said " We need to improve our strategic partnership with new projects."  Gul expressed optimism over the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project that will unite the railway networks of Central Asia, the Caucasus and China with those of Turkey and Europe, allowing easy shipping of cargo between Asia and Europe.  The railway project is expected to be completed by 2014. Gul also expressed hope that the Azerbaijani-Turkish Trans-Anatolia Pipeline Project (TANAP),which will carry Azerbaijani gas to Europe via Turkey, would be launched soon.  Meanwhile, Aliyev reiterated that the two "sister countries" have strong relations.
