OSCE urge release of military observers in Ukraine
Didier Burkhalter, chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), urged the release of eight military observers abducted on Friday by pro-Russian separatists in the eastern Ukrainian city of Slavyansk.

Speaking on a private Swiss channel on Monday, Burkhalter said that the detention of the unarmed observers was "unacceptable", adding safety of all international observers in the country must be guaranteed and ensured.

A Swedish member of the team, who has diabetes was freed Sunday, just a few hours after the monitoring group were shown for the first time to the media at a press conference.

The separatists are led by the self-declared mayor of Slavyansk, Vyacheslav Ponomarev. The observers held by the pro-Russians are from Germany, Denmark, Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
