At least 50 people, including 11 children and 18 women were killed in an explosion in regions of Hama in Syria.

At least 50 people, including 11 children and 18 women were killed in an explosion of two bomb-laden trucks in Credeyn and Hamriye regions of Hama in Syria, said Syrian government's official SANA news agency on Friday.

Material damage also occurred in the regions where the explosion took place, said the agency. Security forces said the operations were carried out by armed groups.

Meanwhile, Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have killed 3,397 people, including 363 children, 194 woman during air attacks in a number of opposition-held areas, according to the SNHR Syrian Network For Human Rights' April report.

More than 100,000 people have been killed during the three-year conflict, which has also internally displaced more than 6.5 million people, according to the UN. Over two million are now registered as refugees in neighboring Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
