John Kerry to travel to Mideast & Europe to consult allies on Iraq issue

US Secretary of State Kerry travels to Jordan, France and Belgium between June 22nd and 27th to discuss Iraq.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to the Middle East and Europe to consult with allies on security, stability and the formation of an inclusive government in Iraq on June 22nd to 27th.
Jennifer Psaki, spokeswoman of the State Department in the daily press briefing said that Kerry, at President Obama's direction, will discuss the Middle East security challenges with key regional partners of the U.S. and attend the NATO foreign ministerial meeting in Brussels to be held on June 22.
"In Amman, Jordan, Secretary Kerry will hold consultations with Foreign Minister Judeh. Kerry will also travel to Brussels, Belgium and to the NATO foreign ministerial meeting, which will discuss preparations for the NATO summit in September as well as the ongoing crisis in Ukraine," said Psaki.
Psaki stated that Kerry will also pay a visit to Paris, and said that the secretary will meet key regional partners and allies on the Middle East security challenges, including Iraq and Syria.
Psaki, during the briefing, strongly condemned Friday's suicide terrorist bombing on the Lebanese police checkpoint on the Damascus-Beirut Highway, where at least one Internal Security Forces officer was killed and many others injured.
"The United States stands firmly with Lebanon's leaders and its state institutions, including the Lebanese armed forces, the Internal Security Forces as they combat terrorism and work to provide the Lebanese people with calm and security," said Psaki.
