Car bomb attack killed 7 and injured 17 others in Baghdad
At least seven people were killed and 17 others injured on Tuesday in a car bomb attack in Iraq's capital, Baghdad, just hours after 12 people were killed by two other car explosions.

Security sources said that a car bomb exploded in Baghdad’s eastern neighborhood of Talibiyah.

According to reports, security forces were among those injured.

Earlier on Tuesday, at least 12 people had been killed and 39 others injured after two explosive-laden vehicles blew up near a restaurant located in eastern Baghdad.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Iraq has been gripped by a security vacuum since June, when the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, stormed the northern province of Mosul and then declared what it calls a 'caliphate' in Syria and Iraq.
