The kinds of weapons present in an ISIL video posted to the Internet on Tuesday are consistent with those air dropped to Kurdish forces in Kobani, the Pentagon said.

“They are certainly of the kinds of material that was dropped - with small arms, ammunitions and weaponry,” Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby told reporters. “But again, we’re taking a look at this, and, you know, we just don’t know.”

An undated video uploaded to YouTube by the terror group’s social media supporters shows a masked militant walking among a parachuted set of boxes, some including weaponry. Two boxes appear to be hand grenades and another box of rocket-propelled grenades are seen in the video.

The U.S. carried out an initial resupply of Kurdish forces overnight Sunday in Kobani. The deliveries included small arms, ammunition and medical supplies.

Analysts at the Pentagon and U.S. Central Command are reviewing the video to evaluate its authenticity, according to Kirby.

"Analysts are working as fast as they can to try to validate it. And when we have something that we can give you, we’ll provide it," he said.

Central Command said Monday that one resupply bundle strayed from its target and was later hit by an air strike. It is unclear if the strike destroyed the supplies, or if that bundle was the same one seen in the YouTube video.

“We know that it got hit. I'm not making any definitive judgments right now until we can get an analysis back on this video,” Kirby said of the bundle Central Command said was struck.

The Command announced Tuesday that the U.S. carried out four airstrikes near Kobani that destroyed ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL building and a large ISIL unit.
