The Anadolu Agency photojournalist wounded by a regime missile attack in Syria has been brought to Turkey to receive medical treatment.

Salih Leyla and freelance journalist Abdulkerim Leyla were wounded late Monday by an ‘Elephant’ missile fired by Bashar al-Assad regime forces as they covered fighting around Jamiat al-Zahra, north of Aleppo.

Sustaining injuries to his face and left arm, the photographer was first treated in a field hospital in Aleppo. He was then evacuated to Kilis State Hospital in Turkey and referred to Gaziantep Dr. Ersin Hospital for further treatment.
