In a statement made by the Ministry of Defense of China, it was announced that a joint exercise with Singapore will be held on Monday.
While no clear date was given in the statement, it was noted that the Chinese navy would stay in Singapore from the end of April to the beginning of May.
According to the Ihlas News Agency, China's Yulin frigate and minelayer Chibi will participate in the exercises.
China and Singapore agreed to extend the defense cooperation agreement in 2019 to hold joint military exercises.
As part of the agreement, a joint military exercise was held in international waters in the South China Sea in 2021.
On the other hand, at the beginning of August last year, the US held a joint military exercise with the armies of Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
On August 15, China began a 10-day joint military exercise with Thailand.
