Russia launches airstrike on Kyiv
Russia continues its attacks relentlessly. An airstrike was organized in the morning hours in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Alarms continue to operate in some regions.
In a written statement made by the Kyiv City Military Administration, it was reported that Russian forces carried out an airstrike against the capital Kyiv early in the morning.
It was stated that the Russian army carried out an air and missile attack on the capital for the 9th time in May, "Since the beginning of May, the ninth consecutive air attack on the capital was organized. This time the attack was carried out by strategic bombers Tu-95MS, Tu-160 from the Caspian region, probably with X-101/555 type cruise missiles."
It was noted that Russian forces also used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during the attack, and according to preliminary information, all targets were destroyed by the Ukrainian air force.
"Final data on the type and number of missiles and UAVs will soon be announced by the Air Force," the statement said, adding that missile fragments destroyed in the air hit Kyiv's Desnyanski and Darnytskyi districts, causing a fire.
Air raid alarms continue to sound in various regions of Ukraine.
