Hezbollah intimidates Israel with exercises
Hezbollah conducted military exercises in the Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh in the south of the country, close to the border with Israel. Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon, the Shiite organization used a large number of light and heavy weapons in the exercise.
Hezbollah refuses to lay down its arms in Lebanon. Hezbollah held a live "military exercise" in the presence of the media in a mountainous area in the Er-Reyhan region of the predominantly Shiite Nabatiya district.
The Shiite organization, which is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from South Lebanon, used a large number of light and heavy weapons in the exercise.
Hezbollah militants used guns to hit targets with Israeli flags during the drill, which was held under heavy security measures and attended by a large number of journalists.
According to Anadolu, Hezbollah drones were also used in the drills, while Lebanese mountains were targeted with heavy artillery fire.
'INSURGENTS ALWAYS READY'
The head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, Hashim Safiuddin, said the exercise "sends a message that the resistance front defending Jerusalem is always ready."
