According to a statement released by Kyiv, the Russian military has carried out 3 intensive airstrikes in the last 24 hours and more than 20 drones were used in these attacks.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for more than a year with hot clashes. One person was killed in a Russian airstrike on the capital Kyiv.

According to Anadolu, Sergey Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, stated that the Russians launched an intensive attack on the capital Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) last night, and reported that 1 person was killed and 3 people were injured due to a fragment falling on an apartment building in Golosiivskiy district.

Popko, in a statement on his social media account, noted that the Russian army carried out intensive air strikes on Kyiv 3 times in the last 24 hours, and said that more than 20 drones were destroyed in Kyiv airspace.

Pointing out that the Russians constantly changed weapons during the attacks, Popko pointed out that Russian troops had used ballistic missiles and UAVs in previous attacks.

Popko stated that the night attacks were organized in several waves from different directions and said, "The air alert lasted for about 3 hours."

Explaining that the fall of drone fragments in various districts of the capital caused loss of life and destruction, Popko said, "Due to the fragment falling on an apartment building in Golosiivskiy district, a fire broke out on the last two floors. More than 20 people were evacuated, one person died and 3 people were injured."

Popko pointed out that the walls between the floors may have collapsed and that there are possible people under the debris, and noted that search and rescue operations are continuing at the scene.
