Following the crisis between the Russian state and the security company Wagner, Russia has launched intensive airstrikes on Ukrainian territory. Sergey Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, said on the social media account of the administration that the Russian army launched another airstrike on Kyiv last night.
Popko said that the Russians launched X-101/555 missiles from the Caspian Sea and added, "More than 20 missiles were detected from the airspace around Kyiv and destroyed by the forces and means of our air defense."
Popko noted that as a result of the missile fragments falling on a 24-storey apartment building in the Solomyanka district of the capital, the 16th, 17th and 18th floors were destroyed and a fire broke out. Popko noted that 2 people were killed and 11 people were injured as a result of the attack. Popko also stated that more than 40 cars in a parking lot were damaged in the attack. Sergiy Lysak, the head of the Military Administration of Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine, said on his social media account that Russians launched an intensive attack on the region last night.
Stating that 9 cruise missiles and 3 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the airspace of the region according to preliminary determinations, Lysak said, "Unfortunately, there were hits on the private sector in Dnipro. 8 people, including 2 children, were injured." He included the expressions. Lysak stated that dozens of houses, vehicles and natural gas pipes were damaged.
Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Region Military Administration, also shared on his social media account that the Russians hit the region with S-300 missile systems. Sinegubov said that the missile hit a natural gas pipe and started a fire, adding that Emergency Situations Service teams were working at the scene and that there were no casualties in the attack.
