Russia announces 28 drone strikes prevented
In a statement made by the Moscow administration, it was reported that 28 drone strikes carried out by the Ukrainian military against Crimea were prevented. Two people lost their lives as a result of the attack.
The Ukrainian army started its offensive against the Russian army in June. The Kyiv administration is also conducting airstrikes against Crimea, which Russia annexed on March 16, 2014.
According to Anadolu Agency, 28 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks on Crimea, were reportedly thwarted at night.
In a statement made by the Russian Defense Ministry, it was stated that Ukraine attempted a "terrorist attack" with 28 drones on targets in the Crimean Peninsula at night, and these attacks were prevented.
It was stated that Russian air defense systems destroyed 17 drones and intercepted 11 of them with electronic warfare tools, and that the drones were shot down before they could reach their targets.
"There was no loss of life or damage as a result of the foiled terrorist attack," the statement said.
Russia's National Anti-Terrorism Committee announced yesterday that the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian forces with two unmanned naval vehicles and that it was a "terrorist attack". Two people lost their lives as a result of the attack.
