Explosion that killed 44 people in Pakistan was suicide bombing

The explosion at a political party congress in Pakistan turned out to be a suicide attack. 44 people were killed and 80 people were injured in the blast, which was recorded by the participants of the congress. While no one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, the Taliban administration in Afghanistan condemned the attack.

A huge explosion occurred in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan during a congress of political party workers.

In the explosion, 44 people, including Maulana Ziaullah, the local leader of the JUI-F Party, lost their lives, while 80 injured people were taken to hospitals in Timergara and Peshawar.

SUICIDE ATTACK

The explosion inside the Congress building turned out to be a suicide attack. Police Chief Akhtar Hayat said in a statement that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.

CONDEMNATION FROM TALIBAN

While no one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, the Taliban leadership in Afghanistan condemned the attack.

'AN ATTACK ON HUMANITY'

JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah, who said he could not attend the congress due to personal business, said in a statement, "I strongly condemn the blast and I want to send a message to those behind it that this is terrorism. This attack is an attack on humanity and Bajaur."

Recalling that this is not the first time JUI-F has been targeted, Hamdullah said that he demanded an investigation into the blast, adding, "We raised our voices in the parliament about this, but no action was taken and this was before our employees were targeted."
