Russia launches 20 missile strikes on Ukraine

The Ukrainian General Staff announced that Russia launched 20 missile strikes on Ukrainian territory and 12 Kalibr-type missiles were shot down. Ukrainian authorities did not provide information on the number of dead and wounded after the attacks.

In a statement made by the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia's missile and air strikes against Ukraine in the last 24 hours were evaluated. In the statement, it was stated that the Russian army carried out 20 missile attacks on Ukrainian territory in the last day, "12 Kalibr missiles were destroyed by the missile defense units and aircraft of the air force."

The statement said that Russian forces also carried out 62 airstrikes on Ukraine and that the Russian army used 4 Shahed-type drones, all of which were destroyed.

NUMBER OF CLASHES EXCEEDED 30

In the statement, it was stated that Russian troops fired 68 times from multi-barreled missile systems at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and settlements, and as a result of the attacks, there were dead and wounded and civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed.  In the statement, it was noted that more than 30 clashes between Russian and Ukrainian troops took place on the front line in the last 24 hours.

It was pointed out in the statement that the Ukrainian air force bombed the areas where Russian troops were concentrated 7 times in the last day, and Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 2 command centers, 5 troop strength, weapons and equipment collection areas, 4 artillery vehicles in 4 firing positions, 5 ammunition depots and a radio electronic warfare station belonging to Russia.

MANY DEAD AND WOUNDED

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a post on his social media account, stated that Russia hit a blood transfusion center in the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region with a guided aerial bomb last night and said, "There are dead and wounded." Ukrainian authorities have not yet provided information on the number of dead and wounded in the attacks.

It was reported that Russia launched intensive airstrikes on Ukraine yesterday. The Ukrainian Air Force Command announced that missiles aimed at Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnitsky, Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Kirovograd regions and some cities were launched from Belarusian territory and the Russian city of Tambov in the evening.

In his video statement on the attacks, Zelenskyy said that Russia's Kinjal and Kalibr missiles hit Motor Sich, a manufacturer of engines for airplanes and helicopters, and the Khmelnitski region, and that some of the missiles were shot down.
