Türkiye continues to make critical moves in the defense industry. The HISAR-U (SIPER) missile, known as one of the most powerful weapons in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), is expected to be tested within an area of 850 kilometers this week.
According to the news of Ihlas News Agency, after the NAVTEX/NOTAM was declared in the 850-kilometer area in the Black Sea, eyes were set on the HISAR-U (SIPER) missile, which is expected to be tested.
With HISAR-U (SIPER), one of Türkiye's critical moves in the field of the defense industry, the sky borders will be protected with technologies produced with domestic and national capabilities.
The HISAR-U (SIPER) missile, produced in cooperation with ASELSAN and ROKETSAN, is expected to be tested in the Black Sea this week.
According to the information reported by Türkiye Newspaper on June 2, 2022, with SIPER, one of the most important components of the echeloned air defense system, Türkiye will cross an important threshold in air defense.
The long-range air defense system SIPER and the upper models of SIPER will be added to the air defense layers such as Korkut, Sungur, Hisar A+, and Hisar O+. Thus, Türkiye will be able to cover its airspace with a “protective shield” without being dependent on foreign defense systems.
