Tajik Interior Minister Ramazan Rahimzadeh announced at a press conference in Dushanbe that about 100 Tajik prisoners were sent from Russian prisons to the Russia-Ukraine War.

A hundred Tajik prisoners were sent from Russian prisons to the Russia-Ukraine War, Tajik Interior Minister Ramazan Rahimzadeh announced at a press conference in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.

Answering journalists' questions on the agenda at the press conference, Rahimzadeh spoke about the Tajik prisoners sent to the war from prisons in Russia.

Rahimzadeh said that about a hundred Tajik prisoners held in Russian prisons had been sent to the war zone and that Russian authorities had not provided information on the issue. Rahimzadeh also emphasized that there was no statement on data sharing between the two countries.

20 TAJIK PRISONERS DEAD

Rahimzadeh was the first Tajik official to provide information about Tajik prisonerssent to the region from prisons in Russia.

Tajik media had announced the identities of 20 Tajik prisoners who lost their lives in the Russia-Ukraine War.
