Ukraine attacks Crimea with 42 UAVs

According to the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defence, Ukraine attempted to attack Crimea with 42 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a result of open fire over the territory of Crimea, 9 UAVs were destroyed, and 33 were suppressed by means of radio-electronic warfare.

Ukraine attempted to attack Crimea with 42 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at night on Thursday, the Ukrainian army's attack with UAVs was thwarted, the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.
"As a result of announced fire over the territory of Crimea, 9 UAVs were destroyed, 33 were suppressed by means of radio-electronic warfare, UAVs crashed without reaching their targets," the statement said that 42 UAVs were detected by air defense systems.
Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014.
