Alibaba Group will invest 2 billion dollars in Türkiye in the coming period, Alibaba Group President Michael Evans said after his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkish President received Alibaba Group President Evans and Caglayan Cetin, Group President of Trendyol, one of Türkiye's leading e-commerce platforms.
During the meeting held in Türkiye's Istanbul, Michael Evans informed President Erdogan about the investments they plan to make in Türkiye and shared details about new investments such as the data and logistics centers in Ankara and the export operation center at Istanbul Airport.
As a result of their confidence in Türkiye, Alibaba Group President Evans said that they have invested 1.4 billion dollars in the country through Trendyol so far and that they support Trendyol's international growth strategy.
Evans stated that Türkiye has the potential to become the world's leading e-export country, and noted that they have investment plans of 2 billion dollars in the coming period.
