The music world said goodbye to another legendary name. World-famous Irish singer Sinead O'Connor, who was shaken by the pain of a child only 18 months ago, died at the age of 56.
In a statement made by the singer's family, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead. Her family and friends are devastated."
Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar shared his condolences on X, the messaging platform formerly known as Twitter, saying, "Her music was loved around the world and her talent was unmatched and beyond compare."
Sinead O'Connor, a mother of four, passed away in January 2022, just 18 months after her 17-year-old son Shane committed suicide after escaping from the hospital during a suicide watch.
