The competition for the world's longest hair in women was won by 58-year-old American Tami Manis. Manis entered the Guinness Book of Records with her hair 172.72 centimeters long.

Manis, who broke the record for the woman with the longest mane-shaped hair, has achieved one of the most interesting records on record.

She said that in the 1980s and 1990s, names such as actor Patrick Swayze, musician Billy Ray Cyrus, and footballer Roberto Baggio grew only the back of their hair and this model became popular, and that he last cut the back of her hair in February 1990.

She emphasized that she was impressed by a woman's pigtails in a video she watched in the 80s.

"I wanted to be like him," she said, adding that she decided to grow her hair long.

In November 1989, Manis cut off her hair and immediately regretted it. So on February 9, 1990, she started to grow it into a mane again.

Manis, who said that she had previously won 300 dollars from a hair competition with1000 people, emphasized that the record certificate she received from Guinness was "incredible" for her.

Manis emphasized that she usually wears her hair in braids because her hair is longer than her, and stated that her genetic characteristics were also effective in growing her hair so long.
