Angelina Jolie reacts to Israel's attack on Jabalia Refugee Camp

The Israeli army has been bombarding civilians in Gaza for days without discriminating between children, the elderly, and the sick. Israel shelled the Jabalia Refugee Camp in the north of the Gaza Strip yesterday.

After the attack, the world-famous actress Angelina Jolie broke her silence and shared images of the refugee camp after the attack on her social media account.

"This is a deliberate attack on a trapped community with nowhere to escape," Jolie said.

The American actress underlined that Gaza has been an open prison for the last 20 years and is rapidly turning into a mass grave.

"As the world watches, and with the active support of many states, millions of Palestinian civilians are being collectively punished and dehumanized while being denied food, medicine, and humanitarian aid in violation of international law," she emphasized.

Jolie called for a ceasefire and highlighted that the United Nations Security Council was complicit in this crime by preventing both sides from imposing a ceasefire.

The Health Ministry in Gaza announced that Israeli warplanes attacked the Jabalia Refugee Camp in the north of the Gaza Strip yesterday.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that according to the first determinations, 100 people were killed in the attack and 6 Block Neighbourhood, one of the civilian settlements in the camp, was destroyed.
