It has been announced that Slimane Nebchi, a Muslim singer of Algerian origin, will be representing France at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden.
Eurovision's social media account confirmed this, stating that Slimane Nebchi will present the song "Mon Amour" at Eurovision 2024.
Sharing the exciting news with his fans on social media, Slimane expressed, "For my family, my daughter, France, and you."
Reflecting on France's Eurovision history, the country boasts five victories in 1977, 1969, 1962, 1960, and 1958. However, their last triumph was in 1977, 46 years ago. France's lowest point came in 2014, with a last-place finish in the Grand Final.
