Lebanese-born French trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf will perform on May 25 at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater. The event, sponsored by the music production company Epifoni, will mark a highlight in Maalouf's tour for his new project.

In his project T.O.M.A., which stands for "The Trumpets of Michel Ange," Maalouf combines folklore and modernity from philosophical, historical, and musical perspectives.

The virtuoso won success in international classical music competitions when he was only 20 years old and became one of the important names of pop, jazz and world music scenes in the early 2000s. His music has a wide appeal, captivating diverse audiences with his singles and albums.

The son of trumpeter Nassim Maalouf and pianist Nada Maalouf, and nephew of writer Amin Maalouf, Ibrahim Maalouf has released 17 albums and shared the stage with many important artists such as Elvis Costello, Sylvia Schwartz, Vanessa Paradis, Vincent Delerm and Sting.
