Kate Middleton gives birth to a baby girl, Kensington Palace announces

The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine has given birth to a girl, Kensington Palace announced Saturday.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter (...)," said Kensington Palace’s official twitter account. "The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz (3.7 kg)." 

She is doing well like her mother, added Kensington Palace. 

Kate Middleton, accompanied by her husband Prince William, was taken to London's St Mary's Hospital early Saturday. 

British Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated the Duchess once again on his twitter account, saying: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their baby girl. I'm absolutely delighted for them."

The first child of Duke of Cambridge William, 32, and Kate, 33, was born on July 22, 2013 in London’s St Mary’s Hospital and was given the name George Alexander Louis.
