US President Joe Biden will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the White House on March 3, the White House announced on Thursday.
"The Chancellor’s visit is an opportunity to reaffirm the deep bonds of friendship between the United States and our NATO Ally Germany," spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.
"At the one-year mark of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, the leaders will discuss our ongoing efforts to support Ukraine, impose costs on Russia for its aggression, and strengthen transatlantic security," she said.
According to the statement, the agenda of the two leaders will include increasing China's power in the South China Sea and establishing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
