With this system, 69 deputies will represent political parties and 29 deputies will represent the regions that will have a single deputy in the Kazakhstan Assembly, which will consist of 98 seats in total.

7 political parties registered in the country and 525 independent candidates are competing in the elections, which aim to bring new names to the country's politics with the entry of independent candidates into the parliament as well as political parties. Today, deputies of local councils (Maslihat) in 17 provinces and 3 metropolitan cities are also elected.

Kazakhstan citizens currently living abroad cast their votes at the ballot boxes set up in the country's foreign representative offices in 62 countries. In the country, where voting will end at 20:00 p.m. local time, the final results of the elections are expected to be announced within 10 days.

About 800 foreign observers will follow the early parliamentary and local council elections in Kazakhstan.
