Negotiations on the normalization of relations and a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia continue.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will meet with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan this Sunday in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, under the facilitation of the President of the European Union (EU) Council Charles Michel.

In the announcement made by the European Council, it was announced that “Aliyev and Pashinyan agreed to continue meeting in Brussels as often as necessary to discuss agenda items and ongoing developments”.

DIPLOMATIC CONTACTS OF ALIYEV AND PASHINYAN

The meeting of the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the context of the European Political Community (AST) summit planned to be held in Moldova at the beginning of June is also on the agenda.

“President Michel has equally expressed his intention to invite the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France and Germany to meet for a second time on the margin of the next AST summit to be held in Granada in October 2023,” the European Council said.
