Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call with Sudanese chief of staff Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on Tuesday, said that Türkiye is ready to engage in comprehensive negotiations to mediate on the Sudanese sides.

In a statement made by the Turkish Ministry of Communications, Erdogan stated that Türkiye will be in contact with the UN and will continue their efforts to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of the war-affected Sudanese people, according to Anadolu.

Erdogan also expressed his sadness and his concerns about the "fratricidal fight".

During the meeting, vacuation and security of Turkish citizens in Sudan were also discussed, according to the statement.
