During the first official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to China on May 17-20, the two countries signed a number of important agreements worth more than a billion dollars.

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and a Chinese energy company signed an investment agreement on the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of one thousand megawatts in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstanworth 800 million euros, the Kyrgyz Presidency said in a statement.

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Agriculture and a Chinese agricultural company signed an agreement on the establishment of a fertilizer production facility in Kyrgyzstan worth $260 million, and the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and the Chinese company Universal Energy signed a memorandum of understanding worth $100 million.

According to the presidential statement, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and a Chinese film company signed an agreement on the joint production of a TV series worth $38 million. 

It was also noted that the same Ministry and a Chinese media company signed an agreement on a joint TV series project worth $ 25 million.
