Putin approved the agreement on the establishment of an air defense system between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

According to Anadolu, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law approving the agreement on the establishment of a joint regional air defense system between his country and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the law signed by Putin, which was published on the Russian State Law Information System, Russia and Kyrgyzstan will create a joint regional air defense system.

It is noted that this system is an integral part of the unified air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states, thus improving the air defense of the region.

According to the agreement signed between the two countries on August 16, 2022, the Russian side will be allocated a site in Kyrgyzstan for its temporary use.

The coordination of joint actions of the troops of the Russian-Kyrgyzstan Joint Regional Air Defense System, which is part of other regional air defense systems of the CIS, will be carried out by the Russian Air Force Command.
