More than 19 million 500 thousand registered voters in Uzbekistan went to the polls yesterday.
The people of Uzbekistan held their elections to determine the president who will govern the country for 7 years.
The voting process, which started at around 8 a.m. local time yesterday, took place in 10 thousand 784 ballot boxes established across the country.
Ulugbek Inoyatov from the People's Democratic Party, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev from the Liberal-Democratic Party, Robahon Mahmudova from the Adolat Social Democratic Party, and Abdushukur Hamzayev from the Ecology Party competed as presidential candidates.
President Mirziyoyev was the favorite candidate.
According to a breaking information, the election results have now moved towards determining the result.
According to the tentative results of the early presidential election, Shevket Mirziyoyev received 87.05 percent of the votes.
Accordingly, Shevket Mirziyoyev became the president of Uzbekistan again.
