Türkiye and the United Kingdom (UK)signed an agreement to find a solution to the migration issue, which has become one of the world's biggest problems, TRT reported.
Türkiye, which has been cooperating with many countries for years to combat migrant smuggling and irregular migration, continues to cooperate with the UK.
A new step has been taken to prevent migrant smugglers who have recently created a new route through Türkiye-Serbia-France and the UK. Because of this reason, the UK and Turkish law enforcement agencies will cooperate, including intelligence sharing, against those who are mostly associated with terrorist organizations and who make black propaganda and seek asylum in Türkiye.
In this context, there will be no admission of third-country nationals from the UK to Türkiye. The British authorities will be particularly sensitive to this issue.
The UK will also support a Center of Excellence to be established within the Turkish National Police. This center, Türkiye's project, will support the fight against irregular migration.
With this, the UK will support Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's proposal to organize a study on migration and displaced persons within the G-20. The issue will also be put on the agenda of the G7.
