Armenians in Karabakh ask Azerbaijan for help

The vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid materials sent by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan to meet the urgent needs of the Armenians in Karabakh moved to the region. Carrying 40 tonnes of food and cleaning products as well as bread, the vehicles will pass through Agdam and reach the Armenian-populated city of Khankendi and the aid will be distributed to the needy in the region.

The issue of humanitarian aid was also on the agenda during the meeting between Azerbaijani officials and representatives of the Armenian population in Nagorno Karabakh in Yevlah, Azerbaijan. Representatives of the Armenian population requested Azerbaijan to meet the urgent needs of Armenians in the region. In line with this request, 2 lorries and 2 trucks carrying humanitarian aid prepared by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan set off for the city of Agdam.

Carrying 40 tonnes of food and cleaning products as well as bread, the vehicles will pass through Agdam and reach the Armenian-populated city of Khankendi, where the aid will be distributed to those in need in the region.

Aid packages prepared for Armenians in Karabakh

Mirali Feyzivey, Karabakh Regional Director of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, told reporters that they will continue humanitarian aid to meet the needs of the Armenian population in Karabakh.

The statement on the issue came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan.

"Agdam-Asgeran-Khankendi road is open and operational, and it should be so. This is the principled, just, legitimate, and irreversible position of Azerbaijan," Hajiyev said.

The aid will reach the city of Khankendi, where Armenians live densely, and the aid will be distributed to those in need in the region.
