While Azerbaijan's anti-terrorist operation in Nagorno-Karabakh ended successfully, it was announced that the so-called Artsakh Republic in the region would be dissolved. President of the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh RepublicSamvel Shahramanyan announced that he signed a decree on the dissolution of all institutions and organisations until January 1, 2024.
Senior figures of the illegal organization in Karabakh are also captured or surrendered by Azerbaijani forces while trying to flee to Armenia. Finally, it was announced that David Babayan, the Foreign Minister of the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, surrendered to the security forces.
"You all know that I was blacklisted in Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijani side requested me to come to Baku for the necessary investigation. Today I decided to go to Shusha," Babayan said on his social media account.
The Armenian official went on to state that the failure to come forward would harm many people.
Prior to Babayan's surrender, Azerbaijani security forces captured Ruben Vardanyan, a former Minister of State, while trying to cross into Armenia. Azerbaijan's State Border Service said in a statement that Vardanyan was detained by border guards.
