Israeli army announces deployment against possible infiltration from Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that they received a report that a group of suspects infiltrated Israel from the Lebanon border. In a written statement made by the army, it was stated that soldiers were dispatched to the region and the details of the issue would be shared later. Lebanese authorities have not yet made a statement on the issue.

Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Buhabib said that they had received "conditional assurances" that Lebanese group Hezbollah would not intervene in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. In an interview with the Saudi Arabia-based Sark al-Awsat newspaper, Buhaib stated that Hezbollah would not intervene in the war if Israel did not harass or attack Lebanon.

WHAT HAPPENED

Hamas's military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced that they launched a comprehensive attack against Israel called "Al-Aqsa Flood" on the morning of October 7, 2023.

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, armed groups entered the settlements in the region.

The Israeli army also launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.
