Türkiye’s Erdogan, Ukraine’s Zelenskyy discuss latest situation in phone call

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues his diplomatic initiatives at a time when regional tensions are at an extreme level. Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During the phone call, President Erdogan emphasized that it is possible to resolve the conflicts in the region, especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza, through peaceful methods and that Türkiye will continue to make every effort to ensure this.

ERDOGAN'S DIPLOMACY TRAFFIC

Turkish President has intensified his diplomatic initiatives since October 7, when Israel launched its attacks on Gaza. Erdogan, who held phone calls with the leaders of the world's leading countries, recently held a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi.

During the call, the increasingly grave situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the human rights violations committed by Israel against innocent civilians in Gaza, and the steps that can be taken for a solution were discussed.

‘PALESTINIANS CANNOT BE EXPORTED FROM THEIR COUNTRY'

During the meeting, President Erdogan stated that the atrocities committed against the Palestinian territories are deepening and the silence of the Western countries on the bombing of hospitals, schools and places of worship has increased the fire in Gaza.

Erdogan stated that it is unacceptable that Palestinians in Gaza are forced to migrate from their homes and that Türkiye will continue to make every effort to ensure peace and to deliver humanitarian aid and health services to Gaza as soon as possible.

ERDOGAN MEETS WITH DBEIBEH

President Erdogan has been closely following the process between Israel and Palestine in recent days. In this context, the Turkish President, who made many phone calls and continued the meetings, received Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid al-Dbeibeh at the Vahdettin Pavilion today.

During the meeting, Israel's attacks on Palestine, Türkiye-Libya relations, and the Eastern Mediterranean were expected to be the main agenda items.
