Iran's role in Crusader project critical: Hezbollah’s Tufayli

The attack launched by Hamas on October 7 upset the balance in the Middle East. While the innocent Palestinian people were being subjected to genocide, Israel, using the attack of Hamas and its supporters as an excuse, pressed the button to realize its great project. The proposals of some countries, especially Türkiye, for a ceasefire and peace, have not been accepted for now. The United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) have brought their navies to the Mediterranean Sea by supporting Israel. Moscow and Russia's strategic partner China took action to have a say in the hot zone. Russia activated its intercontinental nuclear ballistic missiles and intimidated the US. The Chinese army arrived in Oman with 6 ships.

After striking Lebanon, Israel bombed Aleppo and Damascus airports in Syria. The Israel-Hamas conflict, which is on its way to evolving into a regional war, has become a threat to global peace. In the light of these developments, Subhi Tufayli, who knows Hezbollah, which is a part of the tension, the best and even one of its founders, commented on the situation in the field to Türkiye Newspaper.

"Events will not stop at Gaza. There will be a lot of bloodshed, and the map of the Middle East will change once again. Regime change is inevitable in some countries. The Islamic world should see this massacre as a new Crusade. Iran, a Trojan horse infiltrated among Muslims, is fulfilling a perfect mission for the West and Israel to win. Those who think that Ali Khamenei's Iran and its puppet Hezbollah will fight for Palestine are mistaken. If Iran sincerely supported Hamas, we would be discussing very different things today," Tufayli said.

"If Hezbollah had marched on Israel from the north and mobilized in the West Bank at that moment of shock, they would have even taken Netanyahu hostage. Israel would have suffered irreparable damage, and the 'Zionist myth' built since 1948 would have collapsed. All the wars with Israel, including 1948 and 1967, clearly show the treachery of the Arab leaders. If Hamas can paralyze Israel under siege, one must ask why Abdunnasser, Hafez al-Assad, King Hussein, and others, with armies of hundreds of thousands, suffered heavy defeats against a handful of Zionists," he added.

Tufayli emphasized that Iran has given the greatest support to the West's goal of stirring up the Middle East and that the Tehran regime has stirred up the Muslim geography. He also stated that Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq are under the protection of the West.

"Qassem Soleimani (commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards) traveled with US armored vehicles in Iraq. Together they burned down Muslim cities. Iran is part of the new Crusade scenario. Israel's concern is to save its prestige and open occupation areas for the future. However, the West is coming for a total showdown with Islam and Muslims. They have an accumulated Crusader grudge. This war will be a struggle for Muslims for glory or honor. Türkiye has become a hop efor ummah. While Iran, which is not on the same side as us, is plotting against Muslims, the Turks are acting as a messenger of peace," Tufayli emphasized.

Tufayli emphasized that tens of thousands of people protesting against the genocide in Gaza in the Western countries did not leave the squares despite the repression and that the reaction against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel has increased.

"The Israeli opposition Movement for Civil Democracy accused Netanyahu of destroying evidence and documents to evade responsibility for the Aqsa Flood operation launched by Hamas on 7 October. In a letter sent to Israel's Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, it asked him to intervene immediately to prevent the destruction of documents. Demonstrators gathered in front of the Defence Ministry to demand the release of hostages held by Hamas, also blamed Netanyahu and demanded his resignation," he highlighted.

Hamas' military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced that they launched a comprehensive attack against Israel called "Al-Aqsa Flood" on the morning of October 7.

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, armed groups entered the settlements in the region. The Israeli army also launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 4,651 people, including 1873 children and 1023 women, were killed and 14,245 injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.

It was reported that 1400 Israelis, including 306 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 Israelis were wounded in the attacks from Gaza.

The Israeli army hit Damascus and Aleppo airports. As the Middle East is once again turning into a bloodbath, a deadline has been set for nearly 2 and a half million Palestinians to leave the blockaded Gaza.

In the occupied West Bank, 90 Palestinians were reportedly killed in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers.

In Israel's attacks on Gaza, 18 journalists were killed.

In the clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah on the Israel-Lebanon border since 8 October, 24 Hezbollah members and 4 civilians, one of whom was a journalist, were killed. Three Israeli soldiers and one Israeli civilian were killed in the attacks organized by Lebanon.

Most recently, Israel attacked the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, killing civilians.
