Russia executes soldiers who refuse to obey orders in Ukraine: White House

Russia is executing soldiers in Ukraine who disobey its orders and threatening to kill troops who want to withdraw from the front lines, John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, said.

"Russia is sending poorly trained soldiers directly into battle without proper equipment, leadership, resources, and support. Given these circumstances, it is not surprising that the morale of Russian forces is low,” Kirby added.

He claimed that Russia was "executing" soldiers in Ukraine who disobeyed orders and that Russian commanders were threatening to kill any troops who wanted to withdraw from the front lines in Ukraine.

"It is reprehensible to consider executing soldiers who do not want to obey orders. Threatening entire units with execution is barbaric," he added.
