Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Monday received US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Ankara with the situation in Gaza being on the top of both officials' agenda.
Blinken arrived in Türkiye after a day of unannounced visits and detours on Sunday as the top US diplomat held meetings with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas before heading to Iraq for a surprise visit to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
Blinken was seen wearing a bulletproof vest in Baghdad.
The US official arrived in Ankara late last night. There was no high-level official present to welcome Blinken as he got off the plane and he was received by the Deputy Governor of Ankara Namık Kemal Nazlı.
Blinken is expected to visit Tokyo, Seoul and New Delhi after leaving Ankara.
