Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi share footage of their operation to seize an Israeli cargo ship in the Red Sea
The Houthis in Yemen released footage of the moments when they seized the alleged Israeli cargo ship Galaxy Leader with 22 crew members in the Red Sea on Monday, in response to Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In the footage, it was seen that the Houthis landed on the ship by helicopter and took the crew hostage.
SHIP DOES NOT BELONG TO ISRAEL
"The hijacking of a cargo ship by the Houthis in the southern Red Sea near Yemen is a grave incident on a global scale. Civilians of various nationalities are working on the ship, which sails from Turkiye to India. This is not an Israeli ship. There are no Israelis on board," shared on social media platform X, the Israeli military emphasized.
