Turkish journalist exposes Israeli tactics: Female soldiers, Instagram traps

Israel uses female soldiers for security intelligence, and they add journalists on Instagram and try to trap them, Turkish Journalist, Emre Diner tells Turkiye Newspaper.

Journalist Diner shed light on the restrictions imposed by the Israeli military, prohibiting Palestinians under the age of 65 from entering the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque for worship.

"The first time we went to Jerusalem, we were going to a hotel and there was a clash during Friday prayers. The Israeli military does not allow Palestinians under the age of 65 to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque. For women, the limit is 50 years old, so Palestinian Muslim women under the age of 50 cannot worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque," Diner emphasized.

Diner reflected on his experiences, discussing the challenges faced by certain groups due to restrictions imposed by authorities.

"They target those who they believe won't resist. They claim that a 60-year-old won't cause trouble, but the young ones are different, so they impose these limitations and rules," he remarked.

'ISRAEL SPRAY SEWAGE WATER'

Recalling a particular instance, Diner described being amidst clashes during his initial visit. He recounted the chaotic scene with Israeli army firing rubber bullets nearby, police mounted on horses maneuvering around, and the presence of vehicles emitting an unpleasant odor.

"There's also the stench of the Toma. It sprays water with intense pressure," he explained. "Initially, I couldn't believe it, but upon researching, I discovered they used sewage water," Diner noted.

"There is a chemical substance. There is a substance that will make that smell stay on you longer, there is definitely an inhuman treatment," he added.

Diner stated that the attacks were not only with bombs or guns but also psychological. For 35 days, he was subjected to intense psychological attacks by Israeli soldiers, who turned their guns on him because he was Turkish.

'FEMALE SOLDIER ADDED ON INSTAGRAM'

Journalist Emre Diner stated that since the first days of his visit to the region, Israeli female soldiers have been sending him follow requests on Instagram, trying to get information and trap him. He added that some journalists in the region were curious about these invitations and responded.

"In the first days when we came to Israel, a lot of female soldiers from the Israeli army started adding us on Instagram. They started inviting us, trying to get information from my journalist friends, and when I looked at their Instagram profiles, they were posing with heavy Israeli weapons," Diner added.
